Tiger needs more RAM. Well this PowerMac G5 is very short of RAM, it is only 256Mbyte. Will be looking for two pieces of 512Mbyte of DDR400 RAM soon. Well, when I have the money. Have to reserve some cash for the purchase of some goods. Goods indeed.
Compiling with gcc4.0 on Tiger introduce some problem to certain software.
A very good and detail review was writen by John Siracusa published on arstechnica. The 21 pages long review was slashdotted and receive excellent remarks from slashdot readers, which is quite rare.
Camino optimized for PPC970FX is behaving superbly. It is fast and stable (daily build, 04/28). Am beginning to reduce my dependency on Firefox. I tried Firefox 1.0.3 optimized for PPC970FX as well. It is alright. You can’t beat cocoa app I guess.
