Oppressive laws such as ISA and UUCA looms like dark clouds which never lift from this land. Ops Lalang carried out 18 years ago was effective in suppressing popular discontent, at least outwardly.
Lives continue to be hard, beneficiary of government’s policy is always the UMNOputras. The others are treated as pariahs or worst then that. It is even hard to say that there is double standard; for there is only one standard, and no standard.
Dengue continues to be menacing the population and taking lives. Preparation for flu pandemic in this country is unheard of.
Where is the silver lining?
