wrong, plain wrong

The chinese character for ‘CRISIS’ is a concatenation of two other ‘root’ word; which are ‘danger’ and ‘opportunity’.

The on going flood disaster gave us a ’sneak peek’ into the horror this beloved homeland may face in the near future. And, no I am not talking about the flood waters.

Sivin Kit highlighted an account of his church member. Reading the account, I can’t help but to notice there is something amiss from the incident. “Where is the rescue services?” Such is technology that the grandson in Australia could know his poor grandmother and maid is trapped by the flood waters.

Malaysians will be marking 50 years of independence. Will this nation survive another 50 years? Or even 20 years? I don’t know. And I dread to wonder.

I would quote Uncle Kit’s words in closing; (read it slowly)

Coupled with the ravages of nature, horror stories about inhumanity and human greed have been emanating from Johore, particularly Segamat. Uncle Kit – Monster floods claim 7 lives

Another cruel reminder. Let us grab the opportunity this crisis have brought us. And opportunity too high a price… to let it float away.
