Update : I made a mistake. The correct compensation formula explanation.
Looks like BN have got them self very lousy lawyers cum negotiator for contracts. I wonder how they could ever negotiate with Singaporean counterparts over the water issues.
I think the Lee’s Dynasty is laughing all the way to the bank. Not that they need the water agreement to do that.
Back to our beloved homeland. The current BN administration, signed a contract which even a 12 year old can tell you that it is BAD BUSINESS decision.
CA = ∑ [AT x (2 x TV)] – TA
CA – the amount of compensation payable in respect of the relevant Concession Year;
AT – the Agreed Toll, as should have applied for the relevant Concession Year for the particular class of vehicle;
TV – the actual traffic volume for the particular class of vehicle for the last six months of the relevant Concession Year; and
TA – the aggregate Toll amounts collected by the Concession Company for the relevant Concession Year.
The equation above is used to calculate the compensation payable by the government. Allow me to explain it to you if it is not already clear.
Basically it means if agreed toll rate for cars in year 2007 is RM1.60 on the LDP. The idiotic BN government allows the LDP to collect RM1.30 instead. The government have to pay RM0.60 per car!
Yes you heard me right! That is DOUBLE the difference between stipulated and collected rate.
Even primary school kids can sign better contract than that! And mind you, the money that our idiotic government is paying out ARE the people’s money.
So, let us give our government a helping hand. You can do that by voicing your stand at: Sunway Pyramid (main entrance), Sunday, 7 January 2007, 4pm. Just in case you need Google Earth to locate Sunyway Pyramid.
Update :
Something not right with the equation above. I don’t mean the business sense, but in mathematical sense. Why the hack do you even need the summation (∑) there? Maybe it is kickbacks scaling factor?
