Students from both the institution held demonstration separately against numbers. However the similarity ends there.
The western group (Shah Alam) held a “high profile” demonstration against Khalid, MB of Selangor, for proposing 10% intake for the other Malaysians into UiTM. The eastern group (Cheras) held a demonstration because they felt that they have been cheated of their PTPTN money.
However, only one group is being investigated for “illegal assembly”. No prize for guessing.
I can’t describe how I feel towards the police and (federal) govt of the day. Lets leave it as just that.
I urge the police to stop harassing the Cheras students and emulate their treatment towards the Shah Alam students.
